Its mandate is the provision, Preservation and Management of Open Spaces, Biodiversity, Environmental and Conservation services through Education, Research, direct Conservation action and Recreation with a focus on the Zoo, Parks and Cemeteries.

Johannesburg City Parks & ZOO is offering unemployed Graduates who are based in the Johannesburg Region, between the ages of 18-35 opportunities to apply for the 2013/2014 Internship Programme.

Requirements / Eligibility Criteria

  • Have a Degree/Diploma in Nature Conservation/ Environmental Education/ HR/Supply Chain Management/Marketing Management. Public Relations/ Health & Safety and/or Environmental Studies/Management 
  • NQF level 5 or more Qualification and have at least 1 year working/volunteering experience in the Environmental field 
  • Basic computer skills. communication (proficiency in English) and mathematical literacy are required. 

Duration: Internship is for a fixed period of 12 months. candidates will be based at various JCPZ facilities.

Stipend: Monthly R3 800.00
