About the Active Citizen Scholarship Fund

In line with the school’s ethos which you can read about at www.sacredheart.co.za, Sacred Heart College has developed its Active Citizen Scholarship Fund to attract interesting and generous young people to our High School. We are proud to have alumni and current learners who go over and above the call of duty to help others.

Increasingly in South Africa and all over the world, people are faced with extraordinary challenges, ranging from isolation to impoverishment, a lack of education and environmental problems. At Sacred Heart College we believe that active citizenship is an essential part of a young person’s development towards becoming adults that are able to make significant social contributions to improve our societies. We think that by being positively active in their own or other neighbourhoods, each one of us is able to make a difference towards achieving a better world.

Please Note: The Sacred Heart Active Citizen Scholarship Fund covers all High School fees. The fund does not include school levies, textbooks, stationery or the cost of extra options such as camps or travel tours.
