Standard Bank invites applications for the following learnership opportunities:

1. Burea de Change Learnership

The learnership is a 18 month programme which will allocate successful candidates to the Bureau de Change area in the bank where they will be spending time applying their learning, when they are not formally or informally engaged in training activities. Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal qualification in Banking as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learning. This means that at the end of the 18 month programme, learners will receive a recognised qualification in Core Banking and Financial Services NQF 5

2. Internal Auditing Learnership

The learnership is a 24 month programme which will allocate successful candidates to the Internal Auditing area in the bank where they will be spending time applying their learning, when they are not formally or informally engaged in training activities.

3. Business Analytics Learnership

The Business Analytics Learnership programme is targeted specifically at creating a pipeline for technical and business skills within the business intelligence and analytics discipline. It is an 18 month programme that will allow successful candidates to be introduced to the world of banking and information Management. Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal Database Administration Qualification as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learnings. This means that at the end of the 18 month programme, learners will receive a Nationally Recognised Qualification (NQF Level 5) upon successful completion. Candidates will gain experience in various business analytics tools which include SQL Server (Database, Integration Services), advanced SQL scripting, QlikView Server (QMC), QlikView Desktop, QlikView AccessPoint and Qlik Sense. Candidates will also experience associated business analytics and collection software tools such as Office 365, NPrinting and Adobe Professional. Candidates will have exposure to best-practice methodologies and approaches used with the bank as well as within the business analytics field.

4. CIB Operations Learnership

The CIB Operations Learnership programme is a learnership programme targeted at an entry level role within the Corporate & Investment Banking Operations area in the Bank.
Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal qualification in Banking as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learning. This means that at the end of the 12 month programme, learners will receive a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

5. Learnerships for Unemployed Matriculants

The learnership is a 12 month programme which will allocate successful candidates to various areas in the bank where they will be spending time applying their learning, when they are not formally or informally engaged in training activities. Successful candidates will be required to sign a 12 month fixed term employment contract as well as a learnership contract. Upon successful completion candidates will obtain a recognised Further Education and Training Certificate in Banking (NQF 4)

5. Test Analyst Learnership Learnership

Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal banking qualification at an NQF Level 4, as well as, receiving Role Based Test Analyst Training.

6. Systems Development Learnership

The Systems Development Learnership programme is targeted specifically at creating a pipeline for Systems Developers. It is a 12 month programme comprising both practical and theoretical components, from which successful completion will result in recognised qualification in Systems Development. Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal qualification in Systems Development as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learnings. This means that at the end of the 12 month programme, learners will receive a National Certificate: Information Technology: Systems Development

7. Finance Learnership

The learnership is a 12 month programme which will allocate successful candidates to the Finance area in the bank where they will be spending time applying their learning, when they are not formally or informally engaged in training activities. Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal qualification in Banking as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learning. This means that at the end of the 12 month programme, learners will receive a National Certificate in Financial Markets & Instruments (NQF 6)

8. Relationship Banking Learnership

The learnership is an 18 month programme which will allocate successful candidates to the Relationship Banking area in the bank where they will be spending time applying their learning, when they are not formally or informally engaged in training activities.
Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal qualification in Banking as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learning. This means that at the end of the 18 month programme, learners will receive a National Certificate in Financial Markets & Instruments (NQF 6)
