The Joburg City Parks & Zoo is offering unemployed Graduates who are based in the Johannesburg Region, between the ages of 18-35 opportunities to apply for their 2017/2018 Learnership Opportunities.
Requirements / Eligibility Criteria
- Requirements: Must have grade 12 and be able to do the following duties: Health and safety in horticultural environment, Identification of plants Cultivation and care for ornamental plants, Condition and prepare soils for planting, Soil science, Use of fertilizers on plants, Chemical and mechanical removal of weeds and alien invasive plants, Mixing and application of herbicides and pesticides, Laying and maintenance of grass sods, Mowing lawns, Pruning of plants
Duration: Learnership is for a fixed period of 12 months. candidates will be based at various JCPZ facilities.
Stipend: Monthly R2 500.00
