Nkangala District Municipality is offering a Fire Fighter Learnership opportunity based at Kwamhlanga Fire Station.
Salary: R104 568/ R107 464/ R110 520/ R113 734/ R117 107 p.a (Plus: Contribubution to Medical Aid, Pension Fund, Group Life, and Housing Allowance)
Requirements
- Grade 12, Valid Driver’s License C1 (Code 10)
- Basic Ambulance Assistance (BAA)
- Registered with HPCSA
- Fire Fighter 1 will be an advantage
- Previous experience is not a prerequisite
Duties
- Response to all emergency calls;
- Maintaining of vehicles and station equipment;
- Conduct daily inspection of vehicles and equipment;
- Attend to all scheduled training e.g. Fire Fighter 1 and 2 and Drill, cleaning of re vehicles and machine bay.

Hi my name is unknown,ive had passion for fire since i completed my matric 10years ago,i worked from 1 retail to the other saving money for fire,i got my BAA in 2010 then continued working till i gathered enough for fire 1&2 in 2013,in 2015 o saw posts for learners advirtesed on nkangala district so i thought even qualified fighters in thembisile will get their turn to see posts advertised here,after a long wait in 2017 february there are posts advertised here i applied and have been waiting since that even the js moroka station which was our hope to finaly be employed,but boooooooom nothing,its painful that i have been paying HPCSA every year without skipping for 5 years but im unable to secure employment around thembisile hani,iam a citizen from this place,my home,my marital family and also my house is here,yet i cant secure a job here,but ppl from polokwane nelspruit and middleburg secure more jobs here,why arent we given that opportunity in life,its painful a lot,im starting to regret the 40 000 i spend trainning for this job couldve got a degree,but here is my question,Middleburg offices doing about this?????????
