Closing date: 15 February 2019 WESSA, in partnership with the National Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA), invites applications from unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35 for the 2019 Youth Environmental Services Programme. This is a year-long learnership programme that will expose those selected to mentored work-integrated learning opportunities, accredited Environmental Practices Skills training, and selected non-accredited training courses. A training stipend of R95-00 per day worked, assists with transport and communication during the programme. This is payable monthly via electronic transfer to the participant’s bank account. This environmental programme is focused on community services within the environmental sector. Participants will be actively engaged in doing community work through being placed with a Host Organisation as close to their own communities as possible.
