JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will be reporting directly to the Senior Communications Officer. Provide a comprehensive communications and public relations services, which will align with the University’s motto, mission and vision, and facilitate two way communications between the University and its stakeholder.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Degree in Media Studies or Communication Studies/ National Diploma in Public Relations Management.
  • Knowledge of marketing and communications principles, guidelines and best working practice.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure under without supervision.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team worker

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write media releases and articles.
  • Distribute newsletters internally & externally.
  • Monitor, assess and advise on media reports.
  • Publicize the University’s events internally and externally.
